Standard Series
Yamaha offers a wide assortment of mouthpieces in their Standard series. These mouthpieces are fashioned from phenol, a type of high-quality synthetic material. Yamaha borrowed many of the best features of their Custom series mouthpieces when developing the Standard series, and this shows in the consistently good playability of the mouthpieces. Moreover, the Standard series mouthpieces are easier to play than those of the Custom series, and as such are excellent for beginners. Most of the Standard series mouthpieces are offered in a variety of sizes.
